Join the Abolish Frontex Action Week from 10-18 December 2022
In 2012 the EU was awarded the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize for having contributed to pacifying Europe for 60 years. Ten years later, the EU is spending more money on arms than ever before, is fuelling war and repression around the world with its arms exports and the climate crisis with its fossil fuel emissions, and is fighting a brutal war on those most vulnerable: migrants.
Be it through Frontex operations at sea that turned the Mediterranean into the world’s deadliest border, through surveillance, incarceration and deportations of those who have made it across the border, or through payments given to third countries that torture and kill people on the EU’s behalf – Europe’s history of racism, colonialism, exploitation and violence continues uninterrupted until today.
This is why we have decided to destitute the EU of its Nobel Prize. From 10 to 18 December 2022, between International Human Rights Day and International Migrants Day, we invite you to join our week of action, which will end with a ceremony in Brussels to strip the EU of its Nobel Prize.
We invite you and your local groups to organise actions against Frontex and Europe’s murderous border regime. There are many ways to join – from handing out flyers to organising a large demonstration. Find ideas for actions and a list of Frontex locations here (https://abolishfrontex.org/take-action/). Friedensnobelpreisträgerin EU, 10 Jahre später: Projekt gescheitert!
Beteiligt euch an der Abolish Frontex Aktionswoche vom 10. bis 18. Dezember 2022
Im Jahr 2012 erhielt die EU den renommierten Friedensnobelpreis, weil sie 60 Jahre lang zur Befriedung Europas beitrug. Zehn Jahre später gibt die EU mehr Geld für Waffen aus als je zuvor, heizt mit Waffenexporten Krieg und Unterdrückung auf der ganzen Welt an, trägt mit dem Ausstoß fossiler Brennstoffe zur Klimakrise bei und führt einen brutalen Krieg gegen die Schutzbedürftigsten: Migrant*innen.
Sei es durch Frontex-Einsätze, die das Mittelmeer zur tödlichsten Grenze der Welt gemacht haben, durch Überwachung, Inhaftierung und Abschiebung derjenigen, die es über die Grenze geschafft haben, oder durch Zahlungen an Drittstaaten, die im Namen der EU Menschen foltern und töten – Europas Vergangenheit voller Rassismus, Kolonialismus, Ausbeutung und Gewalt setzt sich bis heute ungebrochen fort.
Deshalb haben wir beschlossen, der EU ihren Nobelpreis abzuerkennen. Vom 10. bis 18. Dezember 2022, zwischen dem Internationalen Tag der Menschenrechte und dem Internationalen Tag der Migrant*innen, laden wir euch ein, bei unserer Aktionswoche mitzumachen. Sie wird mit einer Zeremonie in Brüssel enden, bei der der EU ihr Nobelpreis aberkannt wird.
Wir laden euch ein, lokale Aktionen gegen Frontex und das mörderische europäische Grenzregime zu organisieren. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, sich zu beteiligen – vom Verteilen von Flugblättern bis hin zur Organisation einer großen Demonstration. Ihr könnt auch mitmachen, wenn ihr bereits andere Aktionen für den Internationalen Tag der Migrant*innen geplant habt.

Premio Nobel per la pace dell’UE 10 anni dopo: progetto fallito!
Partecipa all’abolizione della settimana d’azione di Frontex dal 10 al 18 dicembre 2022
Nel 2012 l’UE ha ricevuto il prestigioso Premio Nobel per la Pace per aver contribuito a pacificare l’Europa per 60 anni. Dieci anni dopo, l’UE sta spendendo più soldi che mai in armi, sta alimentando la guerra e la repressione in tutto il mondo con le sue esportazioni di armi e la crisi climatica con le sue emissioni di combustibili fossili e sta combattendo una guerra brutale contro i più vulnerabili: i migranti .
Attraverso sia le operazioni di Frontex in mare che hanno trasformato il Mediterraneo nel confine più letale del mondo, attraverso la sorveglianza, l’incarcerazione e l’espulsione di coloro che hanno attraversato il confine, o attraverso pagamenti dati a paesi terzi che torturano e uccidono persone per conto dell’UE – La storia dell’Europa di razzismo, colonialismo, sfruttamento e violenza continua ininterrotta fino ad oggi.
Per questo abbiamo deciso di privare l’UE del suo premio Nobel. Dal 10 al 18 dicembre 2022, tra la Giornata internazionale dei diritti umani e la Giornata internazionale dei migranti, vi invitiamo a partecipare alla nostra settimana d’azione, che si concluderà con una cerimonia a Bruxelles per spogliare l’UE del premio Nobel.
Invitiamo te e i tuoi gruppi locali a organizzare azioni contro Frontex e il regime omicida di frontiera europeo. Ci sono molti modi per aderire: dalla distribuzione di volantini all’organizzazione di una grande manifestazione. En 2012, l’UE a reçu le prestigieux prix Nobel de la paix pour avoir contribué à pacifier l’Europe pendant 60 ans. Dix ans plus tard, l’UE dépense plus que jamais en armement, alimente la guerre et la répression dans le monde par ses exportations d’armes et la crise climatique par ses émissions de combustibles fossiles, et mène une guerre brutale contre les plus vulnérables : les migrants.
Que ce soit par le biais des opérations de Frontex en mer qui ont transformé la Méditerranée en la frontière la plus meurtrière du monde, par la surveillance, l’incarcération et les expulsions de ceux qui ont réussi à franchir la frontière, ou par les fonds versés à des pays tiers qui torturent et tuent des gens au nom de l’UE – l’histoire de l’Europe en matière de racisme, de colonialisme, d’exploitation et de violence se poursuit sans interruption jusqu’à aujourd’hui.
C’est pourquoi nous avons décidé de priver l’UE de son prix Nobel. Du 10 au 18 décembre 2022, entre la Journée internationale des droits de l’homme et la Journée internationale des migrants, nous vous invitons à vous joindre à notre semaine d’action, qui se terminera par une cérémonie à Bruxelles pour dépouiller l’UE de son prix Nobel.
Nous vous invitons, ainsi que vos groupes locaux, à organiser des actions contre Frontex et le régime frontalier meurtrier de l’Europe. Il existe de nombreuses façons de participer, de la distribution de tracts à l’organisation d’une grande manifestation.
